Room and bored: One couple’s 14-day quarantine in a Beijing hotel
They returned from overseas and were confined to separate hotel rooms for two weeks under government requirements. This is their journey.
During our 14-day quarantine, we're not allowed to leave our hotel rooms at all. Hotel staff, in hazmat suit, drop off meals three times a day, take out trash we have left outside our door, and disinfect the hallway, without direct contact with us. I look through the peephole when I hear some noise in the hallway, to observe the apparatus that runs hotel quarantine.
